They pose a health hazard to astronauts. And a single cosmic ray can disable a satellite if it hits an unlucky integrated circuit. [Source:Universe Today] What does it mean for radio propagation?
This morning I worked 3 stations on 40 meter with SSB: OZ/DL1EBR/P Axel from Fano Island, Denmark; GI3SG Martin from Belfast, Northern Ireland; and F8BDF Eugene from Le Vaudoue, France.
Well, I don't know what the airshowers will mean for amateur radio but I shure recognized one of the calls you worked on 40. GI3SG Martin, I hear him a lot on 40m and worked him a few years ago. Ask him about his call and he tells you wonderfull stories about his grandfather. Martin is not a 5 by 9 type. He likes to make a nice QSO. And probably you have...
ReplyDeleteHallo Bas, inderdaad GI3GS gebruikt de call sign van zijn grootvader. Ik las het op QRZ.com. Heel indrukwekkend. 73, Paul
